Lyrics burn!

This is a post that is many years in the making! I don’t know why I’ve procrastinated so much on it, but finally, here it is.

The background to this post is my daily routine. You see, for the last 3 years I’ve had to make a long commute to and from college. The only way I make it through the journey is by listening to the radio! Although it is some what of a life saver, the radio mainly plays popular music, I’m no fan of the Jay-Zs, Akons, Biebers, Taylor Swifts and most, if not all others who fall in this category. One day, the radio was playing Bartender by T-Pain and noticed how unbelievably bad the lyrics were (I’ll get to them later). So I decided, I should list out some bad lyrics, or what I think are bad lyrics, you may find them deep and profound for all I know. Here goes:

1. Bartender by T-Pain

She made us drinks, to drink, we drunk ’em“: Oh! Thanks for clearing that up, I thought you were supposed wash you face in them!

Mini Coupe sittin’ on the dubs“: What?!?!?

2. Macarena by Los Del Rio

“Dale a tu cuerpo alegria Macarena
Que tu cuerpo es pa’ darle alegria y cosa buena
Dale a tu cuerpo alegria, Macarena
Heeeeey Macarena”

Fortunately, I know enough Spanish to translate this for you (yes I know you know how to use Google Translate!):

Give your body joy Macarena, Your body is for giving joy and good things, Give your body joy Macarena, Hey Macarena!”: Give your body joy??? By dancing this weird dance???

3. Jenny From The Block by Jennifer Lopez

Don’t be fooled by the rocks that I got, I’m still Jenny from the block“: Now picture her lugging around a big sack of rocks, the igneous, sedimentary or metamorphic kind and dancing! 😀

4. Wannabe by Spice Girls

I really, really, really wanna  zigazig ha“: what’s a zigazig ha? a chocolate? a type of dance? a VOODOO SPELL???

I can’t think on any others right now, but I suggest you go through this article, I didn’t know most of the songs but the comments are hilarious!
